*chipotle. burrito bowl. with chicken. black beans. hotttest salsa and fresh salsa or corn salsa. lettuce. cheese. sour cream. with a tortilla on the side. and a big glass of watered down dr pepper. *panera. turkey asiago sandwich. with a big latte. in one of those big mugs. *starbucks. those delicious toffee bars. with a cappucino. or a mocha. *my mom's beef stroganoff. with a million mashed potatoes. *my mom's chili. with cornbread. *handel's. hot fudge sundae. it's the best because they put mixed nuts on top. *taco bell. anything. *applebees. chicken quesadilla. *bw3. hot wings. with shanna. and chad, if we're in chicago. *peanut butter m&ms.
my host brother thinks i'm so special because i keep getting packages.
exhibit a: allison sent me an easter package with an egg coloring kit, a looong letter (typed! on a typewriter! i miss my typewriter!), and easter eggs with chocolate inside. soooo good. especially the reese cup easter eggs. to die. for.
exhibit b: april sent me a birthday/easter package that included a SUPER CUTE bag from target, lots of scrapbooking paper crafty supply stuff, some polaroid film, and a card. YAY!
exhibit c: shanna sent me a late birthday present that included 3 packages of cheddar goldfish crackers, 3 packages of bubblemint orbit bubblegum, 2 books, and a card. and a poem.
i just love everyone at home; they make me feel so special. so thank you. :)
ugh i am the worst blogger. i hate the word blogger. that´s probably part of the reason.
anyways, this is what´s been going on in my life. i can´t even concentrate on anything because it´s so hot here. i mean, i don´t even feel like going to the beach because the heat is oppressive. the highs of this week are in the upper 90´s every day. and, i know, i know, you people probably are hating me for complaining about the heat, but really, it makes me wish that i was naked standing in the middle of a blizzard. it´s so hot.
it´s ironic, though, because over my spring break, it rained. i´m sure many of you have read jolie´s adventures with losing her passport and finding it and making it to panama, and as soon as she came to panama it rained for the next 2 days. sooo silly. so i got 2 good days of sun on my spring break. but as soon as i came back "home" to puntarenas, i layed out the next day and gained my tan back. there´s also more to life than being tan, i realize.
this weekend we have a cultures class field trip to san jose, to see the culture there, i suppose. we are going to a museum and a theatre and a cathedral. and we´re going to have a tour given by none other than arturo, our crazy crazy professor. i´m sure that will be a great experience. we are also going out dancing with carlitos, our dance professor. sometimes i feel like our USAC professors are way too involved in our lives. but i love it. it´s like a little family. i also think it´s funny that i randomly ran into 3 of the USAC professors over spring break.
the weekend after that we are going to some resort at punta leona. i don´t really know what that´s going to be all about, but probably pretty chill.
